Autism – Andres' Uphill Battle
Monica shares about her son's journey, diagnosis, and experience with the Stramski Center.
Andres spent the first few weeks of his life in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit when he was born with underdeveloped lungs. Soon after, doctors discovered a heart murmur. Nevertheless, Andres stayed strong and was soon able to go home.
When Monica noticed that his behavior wasn't developing normally, they took him to the Stramski Center. Although it was scary when he was diagnosed with Autism, Andres began to improve steadily with behavioral therapy. Thanks to the Stramski Center, things are looking up for Andres and his mom.
