Light It Up Blue

Updated: Jun 30, 2020

As you all know, every year, sites around the world light up blue in an effort to spread awareness about Autism Spectrum Disorder. As part of this effort, the Stramski center and Miller Children's and Women's Hospital organize a noon activity where Dr. Feldman provides information regarding Autism, treatment, statistics, and ways to in which we can all come together to help those affected by the diagnosis thrive. This year we had planned to come together once more, on April 2nd. However, due to the recent developments and news regarding the coronavirus, we will be postponing this event. We thank our community supporters and look forward to continued collaboration.

Please know that Stramski providers and staff continue to be available and that our clinic is operating as usual. We are taking all necessary precautions in the office and between patients and hope that you are too. Follow CDC guidelines and make good decisions. If you have any questions, please call us.

Light It Up Blue Event on April 2 is POSTPONED

As you are all aware, Los Angeles County has seen several cases of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19). We recognize that situations such as this can create fear and anxiety and our best way to address that is through communication and preparation. For this reason, we are postponing our Light It Up Blue (autism awareness) event on Thursday, April 2, in accordance with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s recommended period of “social distancing.” Rescheduling this event is truly a precaution as we are committed to doing everything we can to ensure the health of our community. We will provide a new date and details as soon as we possibly can. We apologize for the inconvenience and the last-minute announcement. Thank you for your understanding as we observe this period of “social distancing.” We appreciate your continued support of MemorialCare Miller Children’s & Women’s Hospital Long Beach. For questions, please call (562) 728-5034.

Gary Feldman, M.D., Medical Director, Stramski Children’s Developmental Center, MemorialCare Miller Children’s & Women’s Hospital Long Beach
